Let me share with you how I found chiropractic. At 18 years old when I graduated from high school and wanted to become a doctor. What type of doctor did I want to be? That was a real question. While I was deciding where to specialize I was taking classes for Science AA degree to be able to transfer to any medical school. Meanwhile I was working at UPS as a truck loader and hurt my back on the job. Pain was really really baaaaad 8/10. It was to the point that carrying backpack to college was very difficult, so I got sent to emergency room after where I was diagnosed with sprain/strain and referred to my family doctor. My family doctor saw me and gave me many different pain killers. They only worked temporarily and didn't take away the pain but only took the edge off of it. After a few visits he sent me to physical therapy. I spent about 6 months at physical therapy and I felt maybe 10% better. At that point, doctors started thinking I was faking my pain. In the end my family doctor told me that physical therapy didn't work for me and that I'm not a surgery candidate because there was noting to operate on, therefore I'm going to be like this for the rest of my life and sent me home. Back then, I really believed that all doctors know what they are doing and if they said it then it must be true. That was really hard times to go through. The next 2 weeks after this I was in bed depressed and not knowing how to go on with my life. I mean, I am in a constant pain and just about any activity caused even more pain. At that point I decided that I need to take things in my own hands and try to figure out how to go on. I get on Google and start researching. I find these "back doctors" called chiropractors. Until that moment I didn't even know about their existence. I found the one that had good reviews near me and went there. Let me tell you, I was wowed. First off it was super weird to get my neck cracked and to see the increase in my range of motion immediately after. For the first time in 8 months I felt 30% better. It took about 15-20 visits but I recovered to 100% function after that. It got me thinking. No one ever mentioned chiropractors to me in a medical world. Obviously something is missing in this medical system. Also what a great job!!! I love the fact that all you need is your hands and your head to figure out and treat many musculoskeletal injuries. I was all in. Over the many years that I have done this job. I got to return this favor to many of my patients. Doctors just give up on people and write them off as disabled or not fixable. If I learned anything from this is DO NOT GIVE UP! There is a solution for everything. Sometimes we just don't know the answer yet. Keep looking!
I love complicated cases. If you have been to multiple chiropractors or other medical professionals and they could not figure out your pains or how to work with them, then I WANT TO SEE YOU! I love hard cases and I love changing people's lives for the best. My goal is to make sure I find you my reader before you get into wrong hands.
